J.Mac is an authentic and creative songwriter whose music is an entry point into his deepest thoughts, perspectives, and opinions. He has a unique lyricism, rap and singing style, and enjoys songwriting to Hiphop, RnB, Pop, Rock, and other styles of music.

Born and raised in North Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, J.Mac has been songwriting since 1987 when he wrote his first rap song for his grade six talent show and performed it with friends. The song was about the teachers of the school, a punchline rap song.

Not only making music, working full time, and raising a family, J.Mac is an accomplished darts player who has represented Canada at the international level, and was very successful on the Canadian dart circuit, career 1990-2019. Shout out to the darting world.

Living in Quebec and Ontario, Canada the past 22 years, J.Mac has worked to build his music catalog and share his songs with the world. He gained some international attention through popular online music sites in the late 2000s, winning online songwriting and song production competitions, and featuring on various mixtapes in Europe, Australia, USA, and Canada 2007-2015. He also featured on multiple tracks in 2011 with Taft, California rock band, Lunatic Fringe for their Road Trip album series.

J.Mac has stepped outside of his comfort zone for this project, introducing KJMID and his latest music, the album These Times. It’s got a little ‘Something, Something’, for everyone.
